Khanh the Killjoy

Bits and pieces

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - J.K. Rowling

Reading it this time around, I find Uncle Vernon's actions to prevent Harry from opening his mail even more hilarious. I mean, geez, he dragged his family off to an island, he gritted his teeth and gave Harry an actual room.

And Aunt Petunia has a whole other meaning after reading Faefever. *snickers*

Maybe I'm being nitpicky, but why does Uncle Vernon have a rifle? Aren't rifles and guns illegal for personal use in the UK?

I don't know how I'd react if Hagrid showed up for me, to be honest. But then again, he did bring a chocolate cake. Knowing me, I'd be just as excited about the cake as I am with the letter.
