In the spirit of Thanksgiving

It's going to be Thanksgiving Day in the United States in a couple hours. I don't celebrate it, I've never had a Thanksgiving Day in all of my years in the United States in fact (darn un-Americanized family), but I have always appreciated the spirit of the day.

As verbose as I can get in my review, I find it hard to express how much you guys and the community on GR and Booklikes means to me.

I just wanted to let you guys know how much I enjoy your company, and value your intelligence, your insight, and how much I treasure being a part of a community that share so much in our love of books.

I have always been an introvert, but I have always had my books. I love my time alone, and I have never been apologetic for my preference of my own company over that of others.

I have never felt lonely; every reader knows that one is never truly alone with the company of books, but I never thought I could find a community and people who share my love for reading to such an extent. I never knew I could enjoy people so much as I have here.

I appreciate your wit, I appreciate your wisdom. I appreciate the way you guys can make me burst out in laughter and not-so-gracefully spit saliva all over my keyboards. I love the way you guys make me think. I love the way our opinions respectfully differ, and I love how you guys make me see things from a point of view I never would have seen on my own.

So thank you, all of you, for being a part of my life.
